Meridian Global Insights Delegations

Meridian Global Insights Delegations provide senior leaders with a unique opportunity to participate in Meridian's mission of strengthening diplomacy and U.S. engagement with the world through the exchange of people, ideas, and culture. 

Each year, Meridian leads an invitation-only delegation of senior business, policy, and civic leaders to a region of strategic global significance. Diplomacy and cultural exchange sit at the heart of every delegation, featuring private briefings with government and private-sector leaders and paired with immersive cultural engagements, from historic landmarks to conversations with local artists, alumni, and civil society figures. Participants gain firsthand insight into a region's economic priorities, geopolitical dynamics, and diplomatic strategy, positioning them to navigate opportunity and risk on the world stage. 

Past delegations have traveled to Japan, India, Portugal, Morocco, and more, with each mission offering a distinct lens on the same goal: deepening U.S. ties abroad and equipping leaders with the relationships and insight to lead globally.

From January 22–29, 2027, Meridian will lead a high-level Global Insights Delegation to Saudi Arabia and Oman, designed for senior leaders seeking nuanced insight into one of the world's most strategically significant regions.

Through curated engagements with senior government officials, private-sector and civil society leaders, and cultural figures, participants will gain unique insight into emerging economic priorities, geopolitical dynamics, and diplomatic strategy

Past Delegations 

Saudia Arabia (December 6–10, 2025) Meridian led a high-level Partnership Mission to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, bringing together senior representatives from leading American companies for a four-day program of commercial, diplomatic, and cultural engagement. Organized through the Meridian Center for Corporate Diplomacy, the mission provided U.S. executives with direct access to Saudi government ministries, business leaders, and emerging innovation sectors at a moment of rapid transformation across the Kingdom. Osaka, Japan — Expo 2025 (July 16–21, 2025) Meridian led a delegation to Osaka, Japan, immersing participants in Expo 2025 as the event's premier cultural partner. Delegates attended USA Pavilion National Day festivities, met with members of the presidential delegation, and engaged with Japanese business and exchange-program counterparts — gaining a firsthand view of how World Expos serve as platforms for cultural diplomacy and innovation. Read More → 

India — Delhi, Jodhpur & Agra (February 2025) Twenty-one delegates traveled through Delhi, Jodhpur, and Agra as part of Meridian's annual Global Insights Mission. The program paired meetings with senior Indian political figures and former ambassadors with cultural visits to the Taj Mahal, Mehrangarh Fort, and India's new Parliament House, offering a layered look at India's political, cultural, and technological trajectory. Read More → 

Portugal — Lisbon, Coimbra, Porto & Braga (June 2023) Meridian's annual Global Insights Delegation traveled the length of Portugal, from Lisbon north to Braga, exploring the history and culture of one of Europe's oldest countries. The trip included participation in the 60th Anniversary of the State Department's Art in Embassies Program, hosted by the U.S. Ambassador to Portugal. Read More → 

Morocco — Rabat, Fez & Marrakech (April 2019) Twenty private-sector and diplomatic leaders journeyed through Morocco's imperial cities, meeting with the Deputy Trade Minister, the Deputy Foreign Minister, and a range of entrepreneurs and civil society leaders.
