A delegation of energy decision-makers from Haiti is visiting the United States to tour energy infrastructure sites to learn about the U.S. gas industry and its licensing and regulatory processes, with the goal of establishing industry best practices and building lasting knowledge-sharing partnerships.
The visit is part of the U.S. Trade and Development Agency’s Haiti Natural Gas Opportunities Reverse Trade Mission with stops in in Washington, DC, and Houston, Texas. The delegation includes representatives from the National Authority for the Regulation of the Energy Sector; the Ministry of Public Works, Transportation, and Communication; Électricité d’Haïti; the National Palace; and the Ministry of the Economy and Finance. As part of the itinerary, delegates will meet with their counterparts in the public and private gas markets and tour U.S. energy infrastructure sites to learn about U.S. best practices including licensing and regulatory processes.
As part of the visit, USTDA will host an Industry Roundtable with U.S. companies in Houston on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
