Welcome Reception Honoring Meridian’s New Chief Executive Officer, The Honorable David Bohigian.

The spirit of connection was at the center of a special reception at Meridian House on May 13, 2026, welcoming The Honorable David Bohigian as Meridian International Center’s new Chief Executive Officer. Bringing together some of the organization’s closest friends, partners, and champions, the evening celebrated both Meridian’s impact and its future under Bohigian’s leadership. 

Bohigian joins Meridian following decades of leadership across both the public and private sectors, including senior roles in international business, finance, and government. In his remarks, Bohigian reflected on Meridian’s longstanding mission, noting, “Bringing people together as Meridian has done for more than a generation is really what it's all about, across borders, across sectors, and across institutions.” 

The Honorable Fred P. Hochberg, Chair of Meridian’s Board of Trustees and The Honorable Dave McCormick, U.S. Senator from Pennsylvania, reflected in their remarks on Meridian’s convening power and its role as a bridge between diplomacy, policy, and the private sector. Speaking about Bohigian’s leadership and appointment, Senator McCormick remarked, “I honestly think you could not find a better person, a better man, or someone more qualified for this moment.” 

Prior to the reception, Meridian convened an ambassador's roundtable focused on the evolving diplomatic landscape in Washington and the role of cross-sector collaboration in advancing international engagement. The discussion created space for candid dialogue between diplomatic heads of mission and Meridian’s leadership on shared priorities, emerging opportunities, and the organization’s continued role as a trusted partner to the international community.
