Summary

On the evening of Wednesday, June 5th, Meridian held the fourth annual Culturefix Awards Ceremony and Gala as part of our daylong Culturefix celebrations. Following a private viewing of the Mother Earth exhibition in White Meyer House, the Awards Ceremony honored four awardees – Gloria & Emilio Estefan, Jeffrey Gibson, and Lorrie Fair– for their ongoing commitments to using the arts and culture to unite people around the world and contribute to greater international cooperation on shared global challenges.

The ceremony was emceed by MSNBC Anchor Jonathan Capehart and featured special performances from Morgxn, Imara Miles – Mon Coeur, Iolani Tekaaho, and Linedy Genao. Ambassador Stuart Holliday, Nicole Elkon, Jade Shields, Soledad Hurst, Francisco Sanchez, Stephanie Robinson, Culturefix Co-Chair Sarah Arison, and Chair of the Meridian Center for Cultural Diplomacy, Elizabeth Duggal, gave remarks.
