For over fifteen years, Meridian has collaborated with the U.S. Trade and Development Agency to conduct multi-city Reverse Trade Missions that introduce foreign buyers to U.S. companies with the appropriate products, services and technologies to participate in large infrastructure procurement projects in a wide range of sectors including oil and gas, transportation, information technology and telecommunications. These important and strategic missions also allow delegations to learn about U.S. best practices in their respective sectors that can contribute to their countries’ developmental goals.
Meridian has also planned, organized and managed customized events for prestigious domestic and international clients such as the Iraq Trade Bank, the Qatar National Food Security Program, the Qatar Rail Company, Visa International. These include state-of-the-industry briefings, business roundtables, and collaborative business events with chambers of commerce, site visits and product demonstrations. This includes planning the substantive meetings and handling all of the related logistics management, such as international travel, ground transportation, interpreters, hotels and meals. Meridian’s clients count on us to deliver first-class events with participation from key attendees to meet their business or policy goals.
For the last 50 years, Meridian has organized over 100 professional multi-city study tours on trade-related issues – such as free trade agreements, intellectual property rights, trade policy, regulation and standards for public- and private-sector delegations participating in the State Department’s International Visitor Leadership Program. These programs can also be replicated for privately-funded overseas delegations.
