Dan Amos is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Aflac Incorporated, a Fortune 500 company that insures more than 50 million people in the United States and Japan. In Japan, Aflac insures one out of every four households. Mr. Amos is the second-longest tenured CEO in the Fortune 200 behind only Warren Buffet. During his 27 years as CEO of Aflac, revenues have grown from $2.7 billion to $21.7 billion as of Dec. 31, 2017. Mr. Amos is responsible for launching the popular Aflac Duck marketing campaign, making Aflac a top national brand named by FORTUNE magazine in 2018 as one of the World's Most Admired Companies for the 17th year. Aflac has appeared on FORTUNE’S list of the 100 Best Companies to Work For 20 consecutive times and on Ethisphere’s list of The World's Most Ethical Companies for 12 consecutive years. In 2015, 2016 and 2017, Mr. Amos was named by the Harvard Business Review as one of the 100 Best Performing CEOs in the World. He has also received the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Unity Award and the Anti-Defamation League's Torch of Liberty Award. Mr. Amos holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia in Risk Management.
