Meridian recognizes that one of the key challenges facing the world’s growing population is food security. To meet this challenge, we develop and implement programs that highlight the stark realities many countries face in feeding their population, such as limited resources, land erosion, and outdated technology. Through programs on food security and culinary diplomacy, Meridian convenes a cross-sector perspective of officials from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), chefs, nutritionists, economists, agricultural specialists, and other food industry experts to explore sustainable ways of feeding people in every corner of the world, and reaching across borders through food.
