Ways to Donate
The Meridian Council is a network of individuals who make annual donations in support of Meridian’s commitment to strengthening U.S. engagement with the world; providing neutral forums for international dialogue and collaboration and preparing public and private sector leaders for a complex global future. Council members engage in Meridian’s year-round programming to create a more stable, peaceful and prosperous world.

Gifts that are not designated for a particular program or activity provide the funds to help preserve our
historic buildings, sustain our vital programs, and enhance global engagement through the arts and
cultural diplomacy. Gifts may be directed to a specific
program, activity, or a Meridian-identified need of interest to the donor.
Many companies will match an employee's gift up to a certain point and sometimes more than dollar-for-dollar, thereby increasing the impact of your gift. Check with your employer to see a matching gift program is available and for any restrictions that might apply.
In-Kind Gifts are another way of making a contribution to Meridian International Center. These may provide needed materials and products for operations, such as audio-visual and computer equipment; objects or artworks for its historic houses; or services such as construction or Web site development.
The IRS provides generous incentives for charitable gifts in many forms. Donating long-term appreciated assets allows the donor to avoid capital gains taxes and to claim a charitable income tax deduction based on the full fair-market value of the gift. Gifts of real estate, stocks, bonds, and certain other real property can provide valuable benefit to Meridian International Center. To make a gift of stock through a wire transfer, your broker may transfer the shares directly to Meridian International Center's account.
Building Meridian International Center's endowment is critical to ensuring that Meridian has a strong financial base from which to carry out its mission in the future. The Development Office would be happy to discuss naming opportunities and gifts to the endowment.
