The U.S.-Mexico Policymakers Exchange, sponsored by Consejo Mexicano de Negocios AC (Mexican Business Council) and Meridian International Center, with the support of ProMéxico (a division of the Mexican Secretariat of Economy), will provide the opportunity for 15 U.S. rising leaders from federal, state, and local governments; business; think tanks and other research institutions; advocacy organizations; NGOs; and schools or universities to take part in a professional study tour in Mexico City from November 12-17, 2018. Invited participants will come from all areas of U.S.-Mexico policy, including politics and government, economics and trade, energy, education, media and communications, and research and advocacy. This is Meridian’s second U.S.-Mexico Policymakers Tour, with the first held in May 2018.
Participants will have the opportunity to engage with Mexican counterparts from government, business, media, and civil society with the goal of building and strengthening ties between U.S. and Mexican rising leaders in all areas to support the vital relationship between the two countries far into the future, especially as Mexico prepares to transition to a new Presidential Administration in December 2018.
