Ukrainian University Professionals Explore Academic Integrity in the U.S.

Sponsored by the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine and administered by Meridian International Center, the Academic Integrity in the U.S. Program explores how schools and universities in the U.S. encourage and ensure academic integrity among teachers, students, and researchers. The program agenda addressed how academic institutions prevent plagiarism and how they address it when it is found; how schools and universities help students and professors understand, support, and comply with ethical standards, and how to establish and maintain standards in the classroom, in research, and in publishing.  The program's primary focus was on academic integrity in universities, but also included sessions on how U.S. schools address this topic in primary and secondary elementary grades.
