The Role of Public-Private Partnerships in Promoting STEM Education

  • To see how governmental and educational institutions in the United States work with private sector partners to improve and upgrade the status of STEM fields and prepare students with skills for a changing economy;
  • To look at effective undergraduate and graduate STEM education programs;
  • To get acquainted with various forms of math syllabi and extra-curricular educational programs for middle, high school, and college students;
  • To observe the how much incoming university freshmen already know about STEM disciplines;
  • To explore how universities are increasing and sustaining public and youth engagement with STEM; and
  • To examine fab labs, makers’ spaces, youth makers’ fairs, and innovative technology museums and library spaces.
