During this regional IVLP project, a diverse group of 7 participants from across the Americas sought to understand the integration of multiculturalism into American culture, politics and economics. Through interaction with government and civil society organizations, they studied the role of grassroots advocacy; explored the influence of minority groups in American politics, and examined models of citizen engagement across ethnic, cultural and religious lines. The diverse, three-week itinerary took the group from Washington, DC to New York City, Raleigh, Boise and Santa Fe.
