Meridian’s Corporate Diplomacy Global Leaders program exceeded all my expectations. They convened an incredibly impressive set of high-caliber speakers – all thought leaders in their fields, ranging from ambassadors and advisors to former cabinet members. The content was perfectly targeted to equip rising business leaders with the skills we need to engage our government and international counterparts in an increasingly connected and complex world.

Merdian's Corporate Diplomacy Global Leaders Program equips leaders with a deeper understanding of the diplomatic strategies and geopolitical insights needed to succeed in a competitive business environment. Trade agreements, cyber vulnerability, hot and cold wars, and economic crises have all impacted the daily activities of businesses in every industry. The Corporate Diplomacy Global Leaders Program provides a platform for emerging leaders to gain the necessary diplomatic skills, insights and networks to protect and advance business interests.

Apply or nominate a high-potential leader from your company/organization to join a select cohort for an intensive one-day training session at Meridian’s historic campus in Washington, D.C. Whether you are expanding to a new market, conducting a cross-border transaction, managing a global team, or negotiating contracts in a different region, understanding the tools of the trade will make you and your team more effective.

Upcoming sessions will be hosted on February 29, 2024, May 22, 2024 and September 10, 2024. Led by diplomatic representatives, the sessions will provide participants:

  • Geopolitical insight through engaging discussions
  • Skills training on diplomatic competencies such as cross-cultural communication, stakeholder management and negotiation
  • Development of global mindsets through lessons on the role of corporate diplomacy

Participants receive a Corporate Diplomacy Leadership Certificate upon completion. Enterprise enrollment options are also available for companies to reserve up to 6 slots per year. This program is part of our broader Corporate Diplomacy Leadership Development program, a training resource for companies to develop business leaders with the necessary diplomatic skills, strategies, and geopolitical insights to navigate increasingly complicated global business challenges.

ADJUNCT FACULTY

My key takeaways from the program have to do with understanding how our roles are critical in assisting CEOs and heads of businesses to execute corporate diplomacy. It was interesting for me understand how diplomacy has become intertwined with business and how much it influences today’s geopolitics. The level of speakers was incredible, they were able to keep us focused, interested and engaged. Another takeaway or useful resource I enjoyed was a crash course on protocol, always helpful to have in hand given our constant interactions with authorities.
