This project sought to provide supplemental programming for alumni of IVLP journalism-themed programs on topics related to Journalism in the Age of COVID-19. Over the course of five weeks, in collaboration with the Poynter Institute and World Partnerships, Inc. in St. Petersburg, Florida, Meridian offered a series of events to explore journalism topics and seek to provide practical information and skills. Overall, the series reached 64 IVLP alumni from 39 countries. In addition, we had 14 representatives from National Program Agencies and Community Based Members of Global Ties U.S., particularly for the second session which featured three IVLP Alumni in conversation with Al Tompkins from the Poynter Institute. Numerous representatives from the Office of International Visitors, the Office of Alumni Affairs, and Senior Leadership at the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, U.S. Department of State also attended.
