The On Demand Division of the State Department's Office of International Visitors partnered with the Collaboratory and the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) to run this year's Global Digital Leaders Exchange (GDX), a special initiative that brought together 21 current and emerging leaders in digital government from around the globe. GDX grew out of an ongoing conversation about how we can continue to bring best practices of modern technology and service-delivery into government. GDX participants spent two weeks in the United States building their Digital Government skillsets and networks, and learning about the ecosystem that is powering innovation in the public sector. The project opened in Washington, DC before splitting to Detroit, MI and Columbus, OH. The projected then ended with everyone together in San Francisco, CA.
