Germany – German Religious Leaders: A Project for Germany (2013)

Partnering with the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Embassy in Berlin, Meridian International Center created the “German Religious Leaders” program to bring 13 young religious leaders to the U.S. to expand their knowledge on American faith-based and Muslim organizations, as well as give them a better overview on American culture and life. The participants were all members of the “Central Council of Muslims in Germany (ZdM)”, and were able to travel to Washington, DC, Raleigh, NC, and New York, NY. In getting the chance to visit several religious institutions, nonprofits, and academic institutions, the group was able to discuss cooperation and understanding and gain new tactics on how to advocate for the Muslim cause.
