The Emerging Leaders of Pakistan project empowered the next generation of Pakistan's leaders. A collaboration between Meridian International Center, the Atlantic Council's South Asia Center and U.S. Embassy Islamabad, the program identified, cultivated, and supported young people in Pakistan who have the potential of becoming future leaders by providing resources and opportunities to strengthen their engagement within civil society.
From October 17 through November 8, 2015, fifteen young leaders from Pakistan come to the United States to meet with policymakers, community leaders, diaspora communities, entrepreneurs, and regional experts, among others. An online forum continues to facilitate idea exchange among participants and with the broader community in Pakistan, the region, and the world.
