This project brought together education administrators and policy-makers from Brazil to examine innovation in the delivery of cutting edge pedagogical and programmatic approaches to education. By promoting innovation in a variety of different types of classrooms, the project sought to demonstrate the tools and programs needed to develop a generation of innovators. The program in the United States included visits to primary, secondary, and vocational schools that are breaking boundaries of innovation, think tanks and universities studying the latest trends in educational techniques and technology in the classroom, and civil society organizations advocating for innovative classrooms. Following a program opening in Washington, DC, the four project participants traveled to Kalamazoo, Michigan; Salt Lake City, Utah; and San Francisco, California.
