Meridian implements customized short-term study tours targeted at building the capacity of participants in a specific subject area. We work with U.S. Embassies overseas, local and international nongovernmental organizations and foreign governments among others to target specific issues of need within a country to build their knowledge of U.S. systems, best practices and build their network of contacts. We work with our clients to determine the goals and objectives for each project, tailoring the travel itinerary, cities visited as well as integrating customized training programs based on the desired outcomes and can design programs that fit within given budget restrictions and are creative in meeting the goals of each program. With our headquarters in Washington, DC, Meridian has built a strong network of resources in nearly every field and works with a network of over 90 Councils for International Visitors in each state to match participants with resources in their field. Meridian designs these customized programs for students, higher education officials, NGO workers, politicians, diplomats and journalists, tailoring each project to the participant’s professional goals.
