The project fostered confidence in more than 100 young girls in Taiwan by demonstrating how sports activities can build leadership skills. Two lectures were organized. In the first, female sports role models shared their life stories and advice. The second lecture focused on leadership skills. University students served as mentors for the high school students, educating them on the common gender inequality practices in professional sports. A photo exhibition was organized featuring women in sports that was attended by more than 2,000 people.
Yuan-Ting participated in the IVLP Project A Global Moment in Time- Reflections on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility, organized by the U.S. Department of State and Meridian International Center, in partnership with WorldBoston and Global Ties San Francisco.
Yuan-Ting's exchange experience led to the development of her IVLP Impact Award Project: "The program's sequence of events draws inspiration from the Strong Women, Strong Girls organization based in Boston, USA."
