Wes Knowles is a recent graduate of Roanoke College, from which he received a degree in International Relations. In 2016, he served as the Policy Intern at the Department of Homeland Security Office of Policy, Visa Waiver Program. He conducted background research and monitored political developments focusing on counter-terrorism policy, law enforcement policy, and migration policy. While studying in Brussels, Belgium, he interned at the New Europe, a daily newspaper in Brussels, researching Global Affairs, European Politics, and the Migration Crisis. At Roanoke College, he was a member of Sigma Iota Rho, Phi Beta Kappa, Omicron Delta Kappa, and the president of their Model United Nations.
