Vivek Kumar is the Founder and CEO of Qlicket, an intelligent WiFi platform that enables businesses to form a dialogue with customers and gain greater real-time insights into their behavior through its patented hardware and software solution. Kumar started the company in India, with the initial goal of getting everyday Indians online for free at public hotspots. He spent over three years in New Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore, before returning in 2015 to grow the company’s U.S. operations from Pittsburgh. Qlicket now serves more than 100 establishments and maintains 100% client retention in the U.S.
Prior to founding Qlicket, Kumar was a Director at Cloud 9 Wireless (later acquired by Boingo) in San Francisco. Before this, he spent four years in New York City at The Blackstone Group and Katzenbach Partners, a boutique consultancy now part of Strategy&.
Kumar holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
