IVLP Impact Award Project: SAHHA - Community Kitchen Project
The SAHHA cooking project provided an opportunity for migrant women to market their cooking skills. It gave women substantial work experience in addition to guidelines on how to work and start their own food business in Malta. SAHHA also promoted the integration and empowerment of migrant women through employment.  SAHHA cooking project was created to utilize the strengths and capabilities of migrant women to build the project based on their culinary skills, prepare home-produced foods and share healthy affordable meals in Malta. The SAHHA cooking project provided a safe space to share the love of cooking, understand cultural differences and embrace diversity by enjoying healthy dishes through cuisine that reflects the different nationalities of the migrant women in Malta.
