Tom Higgins is an Executive Vice President, Head of General Services and member of the Management Committee at Fiserv. He is responsible for global sourcing, real estate, security and investigations, cyber security, crisis management, business continuity, disaster recovery, aviation, general services as well as military and veterans affairs.
Prior to First Data’s merger with Fiserv, Higgins served as Chief Administrative Officer and served on the First Data Management Committee. In this capacity, he led Cyber Security, Physical Security, Business Resiliency and Crisis Management. Mr. Higgins also led Corporate Citizenship, Philanthropy, Global Sourcing, General Services, Aviation, and Real Estate functions. He was the driving force behind First Data's Military and Veteran's Affairs function that focused on the employment of military members, their spouses and veterans who have sacrificed much to serve their country. First Data was named best company to work for by Veterans in U.S. in 2017, 2018 and 2019 by Military Times Magazine.
Higgins retired in 2010 after a 24-year career with the U.S. Government. He worked in the national security and foreign policy areas and was a member of the Senior Executive Service. Prior to joining First Data, Higgins was the Global Head of Operational Control and a member of the Executive Committee at JPMorgan Chase & Co and led all of the JPMC’s military and veterans initiatives. Mr. Higgins is a graduate of the State University of New York-Maritime College. He attended the U.S. Naval War College and completed the Program on Leadership for Senior Executives at the JFK School of Government at Harvard University.
Mr. Higgins is a U.S. Navy veteran and serves on a number of charitable boards, including as Chairman of the Navy League of the United States Foundation, CIA Officers Memorial Foundation, OSS Society, Business Executives for National Security, the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum, USO of Greater New York, Tug McGraw Foundation and Meridian International. Higgins was appointed by the Governor of New York to the State University of New York College Council.
