IVLP Impact Award Project: BoostHer: Amplifying Women’s Impact in Innovation & STEM

The project tackles the systemic challenge of under- representation and lack of visibility for women entrepreneurs and researchers in the fields of innovation and STEM. The initiative draws on successful strategies Teresa gained from her IVLP and recognizes the pivotal role that visibility and self-empowerment play in career advancement and access to project financing.

In-person branding workshops will be conducted in the November of 2024 in Seville to help participants craft and articulate their innovative visions. Workshops will include lectures on personal branding and tailored communication plans, a professional networking hour, elevator pitch practice, and opportunities to have professional headshots taken. Teresa hopes these workshops increase visibility and support for women in the fields of innovation and STEM, as greater gender diversity and inclusion is crucial not only for the empowerment of women but also for driving broader economic growth and innovation.

The project is still in the preparatory phases, but since its inception, Teresa has coordinated weekly meetings with program volunteers, started developing a project visual brand and website, created and sent the dossier to program partners, and started social media outreach.
