Soledad Hurst lives between Aspen, CO, New York City and Paris. She co-manages the Hurst Family Foundation and the Robert & Soledad Hurst Foundation. An active philanthropist, she currently serves on the board of Theatre Aspen (recent Board Chair), Meridian International, the Aspen Country Day School Board, (former Chair, honorary trustee), and is a member of Summit 54, a local Aspen nonprofit that provides summer schooling and tutoring to children in the Roaring Fork Valley. In addition, she is actively involved with Yale University, where she serves as a Delegate At-large and is a member of the Parent Leadership Council and Sterling Scholars. Amongst her previous boards are Children’s Hospital of Colorado, University of Oregon Foundation, FINCA International (including Chair of the Advisory Committee), American Hospital of Paris Foundation Board, Aspen Community Foundation, Aspen Institute’s Vanguard Advisory Board and Roundabout Theater.
Soledad started her work career as a lawyer at Davis Polk & Wardwell in New York City. In addition, she has served as a Vice President of investment banking at Allen & Company and was on-air, covering the New York Stock Exchange for Bloomberg Television. Other activities include founding and running a summer camp for young children, fiction writing and inventing new recipes. She is a graduate of the University of Oregon (Summa Cum Laude, 87) and Yale Law School (92). Bob and Soledad, together, have a son (16) who attends The Hotchkiss School and a daughter (18) who is a freshman at Yale University.
