Shanneal Ocular is a sophomore at the College of Southern Nevada (CSN), where she is currently working to graduate with her associate of Arts. After that, she will transfer to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, to pursue her Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology and a Minor in Data Science. Subsequently, Shanneal’s academic journey continues as she plans to apply for the Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Graduate Fellowship Program, where she hopes to be a U.S. Diplomat. Secondly, she is also interested in undertaking the LSAT to apply to Stanford law school. Shanneal has an extensive work history. Her work history has consisted of client-facing roles and customer service. Shanneal has found success in administrative work as she currently works as an administrative assistant II at the Office of Financial Aid at CSN while being a full-time student maintaining a 4.0 GPA. Shanneal enjoys the opportunity to play such a critical role in administrative work that is fundamental to a company. She thrives in high-pressure and fast-paced situations, striving for positive results by applying her reporting, inventory control, and customer service skills. On the topic of mentorship, Shanneal is interested in assistance that would guide her to an everlasting internship that would lead to an opportunity for a full-time career in a similar industry. She is open to relocating for the internship, identical to the Fulbright program. Shanneal is interested in administrative work in an office for a politician; she has experience working for her local Councilman Richard Cherchio from the North Las Vegas City Council. Overall, Shanneal loves nothing more than a challenge to enrich her life.
