Ria is Google’s Europe Lead on the International Government Affairs team in Washington DC. She leads Google’s relationships with US government officials, diplomats, think tanks and trade groups working on European tech policy. She also leads Google’s overall relationship with State Department, USAID and World Bank/IMF and shapes Google’s presence at international fora like the G20, OECD forum and UNGA. Previously, she advised the Senate Banking & Appropriations committees on international affairs & trade at the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO). She also worked at the political risk firm, Frontier Strategy Group and at State Department on the Colombia Desk. Ria is a double Hoya - She earned her bachelors and masters at Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service. Ria speaks Spanish and Italian and is attempting to learn German.
