Prashanth Rajan is a Vice President of Global Public Policy at Mastercard. In this role, he focuses on global strategy and policy advocacy campaigns related to payments, trade, security, and technology. Prior to joining Mastercard, he worked as a public affairs strategist at APCO Worldwide and as a management consultant for KPMG, specializing in global public affairs, strategic and corporate communications, political risk analysis, market entry strategy, and government relations.
Prashanth previously served as a Foreign Service Officer in the U.S. Department of State, with nearly a decade of experience working overseas and in Washington. His diplomatic service covered Pakistan, India, and China. He also staffed Secretaries of State Hillary Clinton and John Kerry in the Executive Secretariat.
Mr. Rajan holds a B.A. in Economics and Politics from New York University and an MBA from George Washington University.
