Omar Miramontes works in the Office for Attention to Migrants in Sonora, which focuses on ways to provide humanitarian aid to migrants in need. Omar enjoys this work because he can see the direct impact on people's lives and how they continue to develop to reach their goals.
Omar's project is an informative and strategic campaign aimed at the migrant population. The project seeks to inform the target audience in a concise, compelling and effective manner through 10 podcast episodes. Each one-hour episode will feature individuals from the public and private sectors directly involved in migration issues. The episodes will include migrants’ testimonies, address the most relevant topics in the current migratory context, and provide accurate and up-to-date information on key issues for migrants. Topics covered will include awareness of migrant’s rights, the dangers of illegal transit, climate conditions and desert hazards, support contacts for assistance and ongoing programs for safe migration, among others.
