Nick Wehner graduated from Truman State University in May 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in International Studies. As the Community Engagement Intern at the Green Thumb Project, Nick coordinated farm-to-plate events and created community garden working groups. While studying abroad in Rome, Italy, Nick served as the Political Office Intern for the U.S. Embassy to Italy, where he organized logistics for Embassy visitors, drafted cables on the status of Embassy programs, and compiled daily action reports. In 2015, he was awarded the TruScholar grant to research the quantitative effects of regional trade agreements on bilateral trade flows between countries. Most recently, Nick served as the Professional Exchanges Division Intern, assisting with International Visitor Leadership Programs such as the British American Parliamentary Group. He is conversational in Italian.
