Michael Tanner is the Co-Founder and CEO of Emprendimiento Social Flor y Selva. The organization guarantees fair trade for local cocoa producers in Ecuador, supports the conservation of the endangered Rio-Pescado Stubfood-Toad, and encourages sustainable agricultural practices. Currently, Michael works as an Environmental Economist at the Charles Darwin Foundation for the Galapagos. He previously worked for Contecon Guayaquil, Macasa, and the National Customs Agency of Ecuador. He has a BA in Economics from Santa Maria Technical University and an MSc in Environmental Economics and Climate Change from the London School of Economics.
