Meredith Fucci recently graduated from American University with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies focusing on Indigenous Rights. She is returning from a study abroad program in Nairobi, Kenya and in early 2022 she participated in an alternative spring break program on land sovereignty and indigenous rights. During that program she spoke with people from White Earth Nation and wrote to representatives and American University faculty about important bills and rights affecting Indigenous people. Additionally, Meredith interned with Roots and Routes IC where she worked on building an online platform that gives space for Indigenous voices and stories. Throughout her time as a student, Meredith has often worked as a camp counselor and tutor working one on one with students. Meredith speaks intermediate Swahili.
