Mariam participated in the IVLP Project NGO Management III organized by the U.S. Department of State and Meridian International Center in partnership with the International Institute of Wisconsin, San Antonio Council for International Visitors, and WorldDenver.
Mariam's exchange experience led to the development of her IVLP Impact Award Project: "Through the IVLP program, I gained many experiences, including familiarizing myself with the United States government, networking with colleagues about their communities and their roles, acquiring information about project management. IVLP helped inspire me to create the idea for my project."
