Mao Sothea is founder and CEO of SHE Agrocam Products Co., Ltd. She also serves as the Vice-President of the Cambodia Food Manufacturing Association and holds a board membership in the Cashew Nut Federation. She brings a wealth of expertise in international trade, sales and marketing, and business management, cultivated through a distinguished career including more than 13 years of experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods industries. Her experience encompasses food manufacturing, export and logistics, trading (both export and import), human resources management, and product development. She holds a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA).
The project empowers women entrepreneurs in Cambodia through comprehensive workshops, mentorship programs, and access to resources. Through partnerships with key industry associations and advocacy groups, the project will foster economic empowerment, gender equality, and social progress in Cambodia and unlock the potential of women entrepreneurs to build a more inclusive and prosperous future.
Through multifaceted activities, such as comprehensive workshops covering essential business topics, a mentorship program to provide participants with continuous guidance and support, and networking events to foster collaboration and partnership among women entrepreneurs, the project will promote economic empowerment, foster financial independence, build capacity and confidence, and advance gender equality.
Sothea participated in the IVLP Project Women and Entrepreneurship: Small Business organized by the U.S. Department of State and Cultural Vistas, in partnership with World Trade Center Institute, Lincoln Council for International Visitors, GlobalPittsburgh, and the New York Program Branch.
Sothea’s exchange experience led to the development of her project: “Meeting dynamic…organizations such as Goldman Sachs 10,000 WOMEN and Arrive Coworking opened my eyes to the transformative power of entrepreneurship and community support. Inspired by their approaches, I am driven to create similar opportunities for women in Cambodia, enabling them to unlock their potential and contribute to our nation's economic growth and social progress.”
