She has been widely published in Slovenian and international press, has shown her work in more than 35 photo exhibitions, and participated in various photography projects worldwide.
Mankica completed her communications degree at the Faculty of Social Science at the University of Ljubljana. Subsequently, she continued her studies at the Institute for Fundamental Cultural Research, The Center for the Study of Culture and Religion. She is currently finishing her master's thesis focusing on women in graffiti art.
Mankica focuses her efforts on creating photographs and stories that increase our understanding of people, culture, and art and documenting moments in time that could otherwise be lost.
This comprehensive photographic project presented the personal stories of 10 working women of different ages and religious and social backgrounds, giving voice to those who are often overlooked and revealing usually forgotten heroes. The portraits and stories were presented and exhibited in Ljubljana. To view the photographs, please visit: Mankica Kranjec: Spregledane / The Overlooked on Vimeo
