Manisha Kapani was born in India and immigrated to the United States with her parents in 1976. She received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland, and a JD from Syracuse University College of Law. Manisha practiced real estate law for over a decade, retiring after the birth of her second daughter. More recently, Manisha is the President of the The Kapani Foundation. She also serves on several boards, including Sibley Hospital Foundation Board, Collegiate Directions, Inc, DC Prep and FAIR. Manisha and her husband Roy have two girls; Natalia, 21, is a rising Junior at The University of Chicago and Emma, 17, is a Junior at National Cathedral School.
