Lola Owokoniran joins Meridian as an IVLP Program Officer in the Center for Global Leadership. Lola comes to us from the Kennesaw State University (KSU)’s Office of Global Education in suburban Atlanta, Georgia where she served as a Program Manager and then Director of Community Engagement and Outreach. Among other responsibilities, she served as the campus liaison for 64 partners and potential collaborators to develop programs and global initiatives at the University. This included hosting groups of exchange participants as part of the State Department’s Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) and managing a United Nations Institute for Training & Research (UNITAR), housed at KSU. As a graduate student, Lola served as a university Mentor/Supervisor and a Program Associate at Partners for Development in Silver Spring, Maryland. She holds a BS in Community Health and Development and a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Global Health from George Mason University.
