Lisa Osborne Ross serves as Edelman’s U.S. Chief Operating Officer. Ms. Ross is responsible for overseeing the firm’s U.S. operations. She is known as an in-demand counselor to senior executives at Fortune 500, higher education, and government institutions.
Ms. Ross brings a nuanced perspective to issues of strategy and governance. A life-long champion for equity and justice, she is a mentor and sponsor of professionals with a diverse cross-section of experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives.
Ms. Ross’s career has spanned leading roles in the public and private sectors. She previously led Edelman’s Washington D.C. office as President. Immediately prior to Edelman, Ms. Ross was the Managing Director of APCO Worldwide’s flagship office, arriving there after a 15-year career at Ogilvy Public Relations. Ms. Ross served in the Clinton Administration, where she was the Communications Director for the Department of Labor’s effort to create and promote high-performance workplaces. She also served as the Deputy Director of the bipartisan Federal Glass Ceiling Commission and was a member of the inaugural team of the White House Office of Women’s Initiatives and Outreach.
