Keone Lopez joined Meridian in March 2022 as a Program Coordinator in the Meridian Center for Global Leadership where he primarily works on the Pan-Africa Youth Leadership Program (PAYLP). His previous work centered on youth and youth education.

Before joining Meridian, Keone served as a Career Advocate at Portland YouthBuilders, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping at-risk youth obtain high school completion. There, he provided counseling services and taught career skills to help students secure and maintain work. He also aided students with obtaining social services to help them focus on their future.

Keone graduated from Portland State University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies. While at university, he focused his studies on public relations, political and international communication, and social justice studies.
