Kate Irvin is Group Director, Diplomatic Relations for The Coca-Cola Company, a position she has held since September 2011.
Kate’s responsibilities include fostering positive relations with the diplomatic community, managing the Company’s relationship with DC-based business and trade organizations and supporting the Company’s international business units on government relations matters.
Prior to assuming her current role, Kate was Strategic Projects Director for Company Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Muhtar Kent. Earlier, she led the Company’s global leadership and internal communications function and held a variety of other public affairs and communications roles. Her 21 years with the Company includes corporate as well as operating unit experience.
A native of Maryland, Kate holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Policy from Duke University, a Master of Public Administration degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Education degree from the Harvard School of Education. She and her daughter, Isabelle, live in Bethesda, Maryland.
