Karen is Chevron’s Vice President and General Manager of Government Affairs. Karen
manages federal, international, and state government affairs as well as oversees the company’s
political contributions.
Originally from Alaska, Karen has worked on energy issues for the past 30 years. In addition to
working for companies like GE Oil and Gas, she has served four U.S. Senators and as an energy
policy advisor at the White House. As the Deputy Director of the National Energy Policy
Development Group, she had a role in producing the President’s National Energy Policy.
She is an attorney and earned her JD at Wake Forest University. Karen recently joined the Board
of Advisors for the School of Law at Wake Forest. Karen is married with two children.
