IVLP Impact Award Project: Computational Thinking to Promote STEAM Methodology in High School

The project developed a training program on computational thinking, with emphasis on block-based programming language, under a STEAM methodology approach, for 40 students in Peru. Students applied what they learned in the construction of a video game that sought a solution to a social problem in their community. The proposal impacted students between the ages of 13 and 16. At the end of the program, students had the opportunity to form the School Innovation Club of the Educational Institution.

"The students are learning the technology applied to solve real-life situations, which is ideal… and the purpose of this project is being achieved." - Professor
