Originally from Birmingham, AL Joy Elena Robertson has lived in Washington, DC for the last five years and works as a Wound and Skin Care Product Specialist for Medline Industries. She received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Montevallo. She was very involved in the Montevallo community where she was a member of Order of Omega Honor Society, Phi Mu Sorority, served as President of the Student Alumni Association, Chaplain of the Lambda Sigma Honor Society and the Homecoming Executive Board.

Joy continues to believe that participation in one’s community and giving back is essential in life. Joy supports many charities in the DC area because of the direct impact she sees them making on her community. She is on the Steering Committee of The Washington Ballet's Jete Society and has worked with Starlight Mid-Atlantic, Wolf Trap and THEARC.

In her free time Joy enjoys yoga, barre classes, boating, paddle boarding, reading and catching up with friends old and new.
