IVLP Impact Award Project: Empowering the Future: Importance of Cybersecurity Awareness Among Youth in Montenegro

The project educates and empowers young people in Montenegro about cybersecurity. Through targeted awareness campaigns and educational programs, the project will raise awareness about online risks, teach best practices for staying safe online, and equip youth with the skills needed to navigate the digital world responsibly. By fostering a culture of cybersecurity awareness and education, Jovan hopes to empower 500 Montenegrin youth to protect themselves and others from cyber threats and contribute positively to the digital society.

In September, Jovan organized two workshops in Podgorica, with a total attendance of about 100 young participants. The workshops focused on raising awareness about the importance of cybersecurity among youth and equipping participants to recognize and respond to cyber threats. They conducted a quiz at the end of each workshop, and the results showed a high degree of material retention, with an average accuracy of answers around 89%. In November, Jovan will hold two workshops in Andrijevica and two in Bijelo Polje.
