IVLP Impact Award Project: Institutional Capacity Entrepreneurial Capacity Building for Women Savings Clubs

Through four workshops on leadership, risk management, and communications, the project empowered Women's Savings Clubs in the Mutasa District of Manicaland Province and enhanced their organizational behavior and enterprise development. The 85 women who participated in the workshop were able to transfer their knowledge to other Women's Savings Clubs who could not participate in the program. This resulted in them agreeing to form a larger grouping of savings clubs that will enable them to access more trainings and funding opportunities together.

"This training has helped in ensuring that I am so self-sufficient and it has helped to have a business strategy so that we can plan what we want to do tomorrow." - Training participant
