The project raised awareness among minority communities about their constitutional rights. Six in-person trainings were organized, with at least 80 attendees at each session in various regions around India (Hyderabad, Chennai, Kochi, Chandigarh, Ambala and Delhi). Five virtual sessions also were organized, with approximately 1,000 attendees at each. One participant predicted that "The impact [of the project] on minority rights in India will be wide and long lasting, as the materials and presentations provided during the sessions are excellent."
Jose participated in the IVLP Project Rule of Law and the U.S. Judicial System, organized by the U.S. Department of State and CRDF Global in partnership with the World Affairs Council of Kentucky & Southern Indiana, and the Utah Council for Citizen Diplomacy.
Jose's exchange experience led to the development of his IVLP Impact Award Project: "IVLP was indeed a life transformation event for me. It was truly a great platform for me to learn more about the legal system in the United States of America and also gave me an opportunity to meet with some of the emerging leaders of the world from other countries."
