Jonathan Bonilla is an International Affairs Coordinator at the Universidad de Oriente in El Salvador. He is passionate about contributing to the lives of young people through international opportunities in higher education. Jonathan studied law at Universidad de Oriente and received his masters from the Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana.
This project empowered 117 undergraduate students from various Brazilian universities to generate a positive professional impact in their communities. They participated in job training seminars covering leadership, job search skills, and telework to enhance their personal and professional profiles. At the conclusion of the training, Universidad de Oriente UNIVO offered these students paid internships focused on the XXXVI Model General Assembly of the Organization of American States.
Jonathan participated in the IVLP Project Higher Education Partnerships and Jobs for the Future, organized by the U.S. Department of State and the American Councils for International Education in partnership with the World Affairs Council of Western Massachusetts, Inc., International Focus, Inc., GlobalAustin, Citizen Diplomacy Alliance, and Global Ties Sacramento.
Jonathan's exchange experience led to the development of his IVLP Impact Award Project: "The IVLP program was an experience to be brighter."
