John Lepore joined Moderna in August 2020 and serves as Head of Public Policy US responsible for Federal and State government affairs and policy. He joined Moderna from Mastercard, where he served as General Counsel, responsible for global public policy, regulatory affairs and litigation. Prior to Mastercard, Mr. Lepore was Head of Global Government Affairs at RELX (ReedElsevier LexisNexis) Group. Previously, Mr. Lepore spent 15 years with GlaxoSmithKline where he held a range of commercial and corporate leadership positions in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Before joining GSK, Mr. Lepore served as senior legal counsel in the U.S. Congress and practiced law at Akin, Gump in the firm’s Washington and Brussels offices.

Mr. Lepore received a Master of Public Health degree from Johns Hopkins University and Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston College.
