Jennifer Bendall serves as Vice President, Government and Public Affairs, for NIKE, Inc. In this role, she leads NIKE’s public policy and advocacy efforts in the U.S. and Canada. Prior to joining NIKE in 2011, she was founding partner of the Eris Group, a boutique government relations firm in Washington, DC, specializing in intellectual property and entertainment industry issues.
Ms. Bendall also served as the chief lobbyist for the U.S. recording industry at the Recording Industry Association of America from 1991 – 2000, before joining Universal Studios as their lead policy director from 2000 – 2003. She began her career at the Wexler Group in 1988 before leaving to serve as a senior policy advisor to U.S. Senator Richard Shelby. Ms. Bendall serves on the Board of Directors for the Sport and Fitness Industry Association and is Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Footwear Distributors and Retailers Association.
She received her B.A. from Georgetown University, where she was captain of the Women’s Basketball team, and her J.D. from Columbia School of Law at the Catholic University of America.
